Inchon Velle

the civilian ship and its surgeons

The Inchon Velle was a civilian vessel that survived the Fall of the Twelve Colonies and joined the Fleet, notable as the ship that carried the medical specialists the survivors turned to in their hours of need.

By Joe Garratt

The Inchon Velle was a civilian ship that survived the Cylon holocaust and fled the Cyrannus Star System as part of the ragtag fleet led by the battlestar Galactica. She is best remembered for the medical personnel she carried, who were called upon at moments of crisis within the Fleet.

A survivor of the holocaust#

The Inchon Velle was among the civilian ships that escaped the Cylon attack and gathered behind Galactica to flee the Cyrannus Star System. She joined the column of vessels that became the Fleet, carrying a complement of roughly 326 crew and passengers, and survived into deep space some four years after the Fall of the Twelve Colonies.

The medical specialists aboard#

The ship is chiefly remembered for the medical expertise it held among the survivors. When Lieutenant Kara Thrace began to be troubled by disturbing dreams of the Cylon Leoben Conoy, Captain Karl Agathon suggested that she consult a psychiatrist aboard the Inchon Velle.

The ship's surgeons were called upon again at a more desperate moment. During the mutiny aboard Galactica, a brain surgeon was brought across from the Inchon Velle to help treat the gravely wounded Samuel Anders.
