Salpica: civilian ship of the Fleet
The civilian ship of about 475 refugees that Samuel Anders called home before he moved aboard Galactica. Its people voted in the Fleet's presidential election.
For a while, Samuel Anders lived on Salpica. The ship was one of the civilian vessels that got out of the Fall of the Twelve Colonies and into the fleet Galactica was shepherding, with a complement of about 475, and after the escape from New Caprica it was his home before he moved across to the battlestar. Anders aboard#
After the exodus from New Caprica, Samuel Anders made his home on Salpica and stayed there until he relocated to Galactica. The line comes from the extended cut of "Unfinished Business", and it is the detail that separates the ship from the rest of the civilian hulls in the fleet, many of which reach the record as a name and a headcount and nothing else. Complement and the ballot#
Salpica accounted for about 475 of the people who came out of the Twelve Colonies alive. When the presidential election was run across the fleet, they voted in it with everyone else, and the ship's name appears on the vote tally boards aboard both Colonial One and Galactica. Galactica

Brenik was a Colonial ship boarded by Cylons in the second year of the Cylon War, where 55 of 75 crew died fighting hand to hand over the ammunition magazines. Saul Tigh told the story as his own, and the memory had been written into him by Cavil before his resurrection.
