The results explained#

Gehrman, the First Hunter#

Gehrman's Burial Blade "defined the entire array of weapons crafted at the workshop", and he saw the hunt as a dirge of farewell. (Bloodborne) The Maria Hunter Cap says the first hunters were all his students. (Bloodborne: The Old Hunters) Dozing in the Hunter's Dream, he begs Laurence and Master Willem to unshackle him, and at the end of the night he offers to let the player wake under the morning sun or "joins the hunt". (Bloodborne)

Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower#

Maria was distantly related to the Cainhurst queen but frowned on blood blades and preferred the Rakuyo, which she cast into a dark well "when she could stomach it no longer". (Bloodborne: The Old Hunters) The patients of the Research Hall knew her as their caretaker, and Simon says she "hides the real secret". (Bloodborne: The Old Hunters) The idea that she took part in the Fishing Hamlet massacre is a fan reading the game never confirms. (Bloodborne: The Old Hunters)

Ludwig, the Holy Blade#

The Sword Hunter Badge names Ludwig as the first of many Healing Church hunters, and his workshop "departed from old Gehrman's technique". (Bloodborne) In the Hunter's Nightmare he fights as a horse-like beast until he takes up the Holy Moonlight Sword, calling it "My true mentor... My guiding moonlight". (Bloodborne: The Old Hunters) Afterwards his head asks whether his hunters were "the honourable Spartans I hoped they would be". (Bloodborne: The Old Hunters)

Eileen the Crow#

Hunters of Hunters like Eileen dress as crows to suggest sky burial, a funeral rite brought from a foreign land. (Bloodborne) She hunts the mad old hunter Henryk and tells the player to leave the hunting of hunters to her. (Bloodborne) If her quest is finished she passes on her badge and says she'll rest a while, and whether she lives is never shown. (Bloodborne)

Laurence, the First Vicar#

In a vision, Laurence bids farewell to Master Willem, promising not to forget their adage, and the two say "Fear the old blood" together. (Bloodborne) He became the first vicar of the Healing Church, and a Lecture Building note says the moon presence was "beckoned by Laurence and his associates". (Bloodborne) His skull says he became the first cleric beast, and in The Old Hunters he burns in the Nightmare Grand Cathedral. (Bloodborne: The Old Hunters)

Micolash, Host of the Nightmare#

Micolash wears the Mensis Cage, which lets its wearer reach the Great Ones but, to an observer, seems to be what trapped them in their nightmare. (Bloodborne) He prays to Kos and cries out for eyes on his brain to "cleanse our beastly idiocy". (Bloodborne) Dying, he says he's waking up and will forget everything. (Bloodborne)

The Doll#

The Doll wakes once the player has Insight and channels Blood Echoes into strength. (Bloodborne) She asks whether the gods love their creations, and whether the humans who made her would ever think to love her. (Bloodborne) After Lady Maria falls she senses "a liberation from heavy shackles", and the reading that Gehrman made her in Maria's image is the most common one, though it's never stated. (Bloodborne: The Old Hunters)

Master Willem#

Willem led Byrgenwerth and didn't follow the scholars who founded the Healing Church. (Bloodborne) The Eye rune says he looked to beings from higher planes and sought to line his brain with eyes. (Bloodborne) In his final years he kept a rocking chair by the lookout, and "he left his secret with the lake". (Bloodborne)
