Carillon Trader is known almost entirely from the election tally boards. The ship was civilian, one of the vessels of the United Colonies of Kobol that escaped the Fall of the Twelve Colonies, and it joined the refugee fleet that formed under Galactica's protection. In the exodus#
Carillon Trader fled the Cylon assault and fell in with the other surviving ships of the Colonies. During the presidential election between Laura Roslin and Gaius Baltar, its name was written on the vote tally boards aboard both Galactica and Colonial One, where it was misspelled "Carillian Trader."
