Design#
The Hornet-type was a purpose-built warship of the Colonial Fleet, fielded during the First Cylon War. It appears to have been a sister design of the Alert-type, with which it shared a broadly similar layout. Where the two classes differed, the Hornet-type carried a pair of delta wings and an open flight deck from which Raptors could operate, and it mounted heavier armament than the Alert-type.
