Service with the fleet#
The Monarch joined the Galactica-led fleet in the aftermath of the Fall of the Twelve Colonies. During the rift between President Laura Roslin and then-Commander William Adama, the Monarch was among twenty-four vessels that broke away to follow the president to Kobol, a movement bound up with the return of Lieutenant Kara Thrace. The Monarch stayed with the fleet through the settlement of New Caprica and the exodus that followed. Afterwards, Circle member Jean Barolay told the secret tribunal that one of the collaborators it had convicted was on the Monarch, and that one of the group's contacts aboard could carry out the death sentence. Galactica
