Design and Purpose#

Prototype Visorak Ram 1

The Battle Ram wasn't a subtle weapon. Each unit was a mobile tower with four thick legs that allowed it to traverse Metru NuiMetru NuiThe city beneath Mata Nui functions as the Great Spirit's brain, housing the Matoran whose labor keeps the god alive.'s uneven terrain and narrow streets where smaller machines would jam. Four VisorakVisorak (Rahi)Spider-like Rahi employed by the Brotherhood of Makuta whose name meant 'Stealers of Life' and whose swarms threatened the Matoran Universe. were yoked to each ram, pulling it forward under the command of a handler. The face mounted on the front wasn't purely decorative. The catapult slung on its frame gave the machine reach beyond its structure alone. It could hurl projectiles into fortified positions, or soften defenses before the ram itself charged. This combination of mobility, firepower, and psychological impact made the Battle Ram the centerpiece of RoodakaRoodakaShe spent the entire Visorak arc letting everyone think they were using her, then walked away having beaten the Brotherhood and the Toa at their own game.'s assault on the city.
