Leon S. Kennedy#

Leon S. Kennedy reached Raccoon City on the night it fell, escaped with Claire Redfield and Sherry Birkin, and was forced into government service to keep Sherry safe. (Resident Evil 2 (1998)) He rescued the President's daughter, Ashley Graham, from a cult in Spain in 2004. (Resident Evil 4 (2005)) In Requiem he goes back to Raccoon City, sick from the virus that never left him. (Resident Evil Requiem)

Jill Valentine#

Jill Valentine was S.T.A.R.S. Alpha Team's rear security specialist and survived the mansion where Wesker betrayed the team. (Resident Evil (1996)) She stayed in Raccoon City to warn people about Umbrella, and was hunted through the city by Nemesis. (Resident Evil 3: Nemesis) In 2006 she saved Chris by dragging Wesker off a cliff, and spent three years as Wesker's mind-controlled prisoner until Chris freed her. (Resident Evil 5)

Chris Redfield#

Chris Redfield was S.T.A.R.S. Alpha Team's point man when Wesker led the team into a trap at the Spencer Mansion. (Resident Evil (1996)) He rescued his sister Claire from an Umbrella prison island, then as a BSAA agent killed Wesker in Africa in 2009. (Resident Evil CODE: Veronica; Resident Evil 5) He lost his squad in 2012 and later went after Mother Miranda. (Resident Evil 6; Resident Evil Village)

Claire Redfield#

Claire Redfield came to Raccoon City to find Chris, met Leon, and protected Sherry Birkin from Umbrella and her own mutated father. (Resident Evil 2 (1998)) Still searching for her brother, she was captured by Umbrella in Paris and shipped to a prison island. (Resident Evil CODE: Veronica) She's since spent her life helping victims of bioterror with TerraSave. (Resident Evil: Revelations 2)

Ada Wong#

Ada Wong first appeared in Raccoon City posing as a woman looking for her boyfriend, while really hunting the G-Virus for a rival of Umbrella. (Resident Evil 2 (1998)) She worked alongside Leon, betrayed him for the sample, saved his life and vanished. (Resident Evil 2 (1998)) In 2004 she was in Spain for Wesker, stealing a Las Plagas sample from under Leon's nose. (Resident Evil 4 (2005))

Albert Wesker#

Albert Wesker was one of Umbrella's young researchers, then its man inside the Raccoon City police, and in 1998 he betrayed S.T.A.R.S. at the Spencer Mansion. (Resident Evil 0; Resident Evil (1996)) He came back from an apparent death with superhuman powers. (Resident Evil CODE: Veronica) With Tricell he built the Uroboros virus to cull the human race, and Chris and Sheva Alomar killed him in a volcano in Africa. (Resident Evil 5)

Rebecca Chambers#

Rebecca Chambers joined Bravo Team in 1998 as its 18-year-old medic, and on her first night out teamed up with Billy Coen, the convicted Marine she was meant to be hunting. (Resident Evil 0) She parted from him by letting him go free, then survived the Spencer Mansion with Chris, Jill and Barry. (Resident Evil 0; Resident Evil (1996)) She became a virologist, and helped stop outbreaks in New York and San Francisco. (Resident Evil: Vendetta; Resident Evil: Death Island)

Barry Burton#

Barry Burton was S.T.A.R.S. Alpha Team's backup man and weapons expert, and brought Chris into the unit after they met in the Air Force. (Resident Evil (1996)) In the Spencer Mansion, Wesker threatened his wife and daughters to make him sabotage Jill, and when the threat turned out to be a bluff, Barry knocked Wesker down. (Resident Evil (1996)) In 2011 he went to Sein Island to find his daughter Moira and later adopted Natalia. (Resident Evil: Revelations 2)
