The defence of Caprica#
At the time of the Fall, the Yashuman led a group of three Valkyrie-type battlestars, Valkyrie among them, in orbit over Caprica. As the Cylon fleet arrived, the Yashuman called in heavy contacts, six or more, in low orbit over grid 15-2. Caprica Control had no contact on them and reported a system-wide crash in the defence grid, and the Yashuman's crew made it plain they couldn't wait. (Battlestar Galactica: The Plan)
The battlestars moved to intercept with several wings of Vipers. Cylon Raiders scanned the ships and the backdoors in the Command Navigation Program shut their systems down before they could fire.
