Mar-Beth Willow was a Monotheist on Caprica with ties to the Soldiers of the One. A member of a group-marriage of fellow believers, her growing fear that the household would be exposed led to her being falsely branded an informer and killed by Clarice Willow.
Biography#
Mar-Beth entered into a group-marriage among fellow Monotheists, all of them members of the Soldiers of the One. Her husbands were Nestor, Olaf, Rashawn and Tanner, and her wives were Clarice, Desiree and Helena, the household taking Desiree's surname, Willow.
Sometime in 1941 Mar-Beth became pregnant and was consequently excluded from STO operations, including action against Barnabas Greeley's rogue cell in 1942. When Clarice welcomed Amanda Graystone into the household, while a mole within the Global Defense Department worked to recover an object in the family's possession, Mar-Beth became increasingly agitated that the group would be discovered.
Death#
Mar-Beth attempted to remove Graystone from the house, but reneged after the two bonded over motherhood, and she remained in the household while she had her baby. By that point Graystone had been turned as a confidential informer within the household, and to legitimize the evidence she provided, Mar-Beth was falsely designated the informer. When word of this reached the Willow residence, Clarice killed Mar-Beth while she had taken the baby out to a park. Nestor and Olaf removed the body in a black bag, after which it was cut to pieces, transported some 200 miles away, and dumped into the Theoresos river, where police first recovered the torso.
