A haven for the black market#
Prometheus served as the base of operations for the ex-mercenary Phelan and as the main trading hub of the black market. After the murder of Jack Fisk, commanding officer of Pegasus, Lee Adama confronted the marketeers on board and killed Phelan. The trade was allowed to carry on, but Lee warned that there would be no more murder, price-gouging of medicines or child prostitution. (Battlestar Galactica, "Black Market")
Service to the fleet#
Later, during refuelling operations over a gas giant, a valve failure aboard Prometheus forced a restart of its unrep manoeuvre with Galactica. By then the ship was captained by Doyle Franks, who was chosen as one of the five judges at Gaius Baltar's trial. After the trial, Prometheus jumped with the fleet into the Ionian Nebula and lost power shortly before the Cylons attacked. Fate#
