Thanatos

the innermost world of Helios Gamma

Thanatos was an inhospitable planet in the Cyrannus star system, the closest world to the star Helios Gamma. Its atmosphere of sulfur dioxide made it unsuitable for kobolforming, and it took its name from a god of death.

Thanatos was an inhospitable planet in the Cyrannus star system, orbiting the star Helios Gamma as the closest world to that star. Its atmosphere consisted of sulfur dioxide, which made it unsuitable for kobolforming, and it took its name from Thanatos, a god of death in the Polytheist Pantheon.

Description#

Thanatos held the closest orbit to Helios Gamma, one of the stars of the Cyrannus star system. The planet was wholly inhospitable. Its atmosphere was composed of sulfur dioxide, a chemistry that made the process of kobolforming unworkable and left the world unable to support colonial life. In keeping with the colonial practice of naming worlds for their gods, Thanatos was named after a god of death in the Polytheist Pantheon.
