Daxia is a location situated east of the Southern Continent, affiliated with the Order of Mata Nui and home to the Shallows Cat.

The Order brought significant figures to Daxia at key moments. The Staff of Artakha was teleported there by Botar after BrutakaBrutakaBrutaka guarded the Kanohi Ignika on Voya Nui, betrayed the Order during the Piraka incursion, served time in the Pit, and later led the Federation of Fear strike team. stole it from Teridax, and it was activated on the island. Botar later transported the Toa Nuva to Daxia so they could witness the healing of the world.
Daxia's defenses were eventually overcome by TeridaxTeridaxTeridax orchestrated a thousand-year scheme that ended with him occupying the Great Spirit Robot itself before his death on Bara Magna., who targeted the energized protodermis source the Order would not think to shut down. He leveled the fortress and seized control of the island. The Order later mounted a mission to destroy the energized protodermis pool there, which succeeded. Daxia was home to the creature known as the Shallows Cat.
