One of the Matoran Universe's most lethal hazards. that filled the core of Spherus MagnaSpherus MagnaA desert world of ancient conflict that became the merger point of the Matoran Universe and Bionicle's true endpoint.. Some time after the substance emerged onto the planet's surface, the Great BeingsThe Great BeingsScholar-inventors of Spherus Magna whose creations shaped the Matoran Universe and whose absence defined the conflicts that followed. decided to place a portion of it inside the Matoran UniverseMatoranThe most abundant species in the Matoran Universe, chosen by Mata Nui to inhabit and maintain his cosmic body.. There it took the form of a conscious body residing in a cavern around a lake of the substance, governing the transformative power of Energized Protodermis with apparent will and judgment over what was, and what was not, destined to change.

The Toa Metru#

The Toa MetruToa Metru and Toa HordikaSix Matoran elevated by Lhikan to save their city, mutated by Visorak venom, and restored in time to deliver the population to safety. once visited the Entity in its cavern. Rather than confront it directly, they tricked it into destroying three of the pillars that supported the cave. OnewaOnewaOnewa served as Toa Metru of Stone, led Po-Koro through the Dark Time, and constructed the Metru Nui statue honoring the fallen Toa Mahri Matoro. then brought down the last remaining pillar as the Entity tried to crush the Toa, collapsing the chamber onto it and allowing the team to escape.

In the same period, the Entity contributed to the making of mutated RahiRahiThe Rahi were the biomechanical wildlife of the Matoran Universe, built largely by the Brotherhood of Makuta, ranging from background fauna to engineered war beasts.. They escaped when VezonVezonHe started as a weapon misfire and a throwaway joke, and the canon spent four years quietly turning him into its most useful expendable asset. unintentionally opened a portal with his Olmak and teleported them away to Metru NuiMetru NuiThe city beneath Mata Nui functions as the Great Spirit's brain, housing the Matoran whose labor keeps the god alive..

Instead of destroying him, it transformed him into a walking dimensional gate, opening portals to other dimensions against his will. What became of the Entity after this transformation is unknown.
