Universe's most dangerous warriors, yet the island itself remains one of the least explored locations in the entire lore. Both embodied the warrior culture their homeland cultivated. Without understanding Stelt's values, you can't fully grasp why these two carried themselves with such uncompromising aggression in every interaction.

The Island That Made Warriors#

Stelt's defining feature was its obsession with martial strength and combat. Unlike other MatoranMatoranThe most abundant species in the Matoran Universe, chosen by Mata Nui to inhabit and maintain his cosmic body. Its inhabitants understood progress through the lens of combat and competition.

Their approach wasn't unusual for Stelt. It was exactly what their homeland had taught them to be from the moment they could fight.

A Forgotten Geography#

What's genuinely frustrating about Stelt is how little the canon explores it despite its importance. We have a location on the map. We know its MakutaMakuta (Species)Shadowy Antidermis beings and the Brotherhood's elite, Makuta commanded darkness and shaped the Matoran Universe's fate. is now deceased. But almost nothing beyond that exists in the official lore.

What Happened to Stelt?#

The island's ultimate fate remains unclear. Was the island destroyed? Did it somehow escape the attention of the Brotherhood of MakutaMakuta (Species)Shadowy Antidermis beings and the Brotherhood's elite, Makuta commanded darkness and shaped the Matoran Universe's fate.? The canon doesn't say. These unanswered questions make Stelt feel more like a setup than a fully realized location. For a setting that prides itself on intricate lore and worldbuilding, Stelt is an inexplicable blind spot.
