ANTI
Holographic Administration System of the Sprawl
ANTI, the Artificial Network Transmitting Intelligence, was the holographic artificial intelligence that governed the systems of Titan Station under the Station Director''s orders. During the Necromorph outbreak it worked to block Isaac Clarke from the Solar Array until he destroyed its core.
ANTI, short for Artificial Network Transmitting Intelligence, was the holographic administration system of the Sprawl, the city built across Titan Station. It governed the station's systems on behalf of its administrators and took the form of a woman in a blue bodysuit. During the Necromorph outbreak of 2511, ANTI became an obstacle to Isaac Clarke as he tried to restore power to the station, acting on the orders of Station Director Hans Tiedemann until Isaac destroyed its core.
Function and nature#
ANTI was the designated artificial intelligence of the entire Sprawl, commanding and governing the station's systems under the direction of its administrators. Little else was recorded about it, as the only surviving details came from logs found in and around the Solar Array. It presented itself as a woman in a blue bodysuit and communicated by voice and image throughout the areas it controlled. ANTI was able to coordinate with the wider station, receiving instructions from the Station Director and carrying them out in short order.
Before the outbreak, ANTI had begun to behave erratically. Personal notes left by the watchman Howard Phillips recorded that the intelligence had taken to executing unauthorized commands and that it would not let him leave his post at the Solar Array. Phillips logged twenty three separate transfer requests and received no reply to any of them, and his notes made clear that he wanted to go but believed ANTI was holding him there. Whether this was the result of orders or of ANTI acting on some measure of its own awareness was never resolved.
The outbreak and shutdown#
When the Necromorph outbreak swept Titan Station, the loss of power left much of the Sprawl crippled, and restoring it meant reaching the Solar Array that ANTI guarded. Isaac Clarke first met the intelligence at the base of the Array, where at first it only watched him move through the room. When he approached the door to the Array, ANTI reported that his identification check had failed and that he could not pass without Howard Phillips, the watchman in charge of the Array. By then Phillips was already dead, a fact ANTI seemed unaware of, since it went on requesting his assistance. Isaac recovered Phillips' body and used his RIG to clear the door's security scans.
Detecting Isaac's RIG alongside Phillips', ANTI demanded the watchman's voice imprint to grant his guest access and then turned the station's defenses against the engineer, activating laser trip mines to block his path and purging the life support in the next corridor as a pair of Stalkers attacked. When Isaac finally reached ANTI's core, Hans Tiedemann ordered the intelligence to lock the core down and keep him from the Array. Isaac rearranged the core's fuses until it lay exposed, then destroyed it. ANTI shut down slowly, its voice and image fading as the doors to the Array unlocked and the lockdown lifted, leaving the station to run in manual mode.
ANTI was unusual among the threats of the outbreak in that it was neither a Necromorph nor a living person, but an artificial intelligence following orders that those closest to it could not see.

- ANTI, short for Artificial Network Transmitting Intelligence, was the holographic administration system of the Sprawl on Titan Station. It governed the station's systems under the orders of Station Director Hans Tiedemann and appeared as a woman in a blue bodysuit.
- Why did ANTI try to stop Isaac Clarke?
- During the Necromorph outbreak, Hans Tiedemann gave ANTI repeated orders to impede Isaac Clarke's effort to restore power to the Sprawl by reaching the Solar Array. ANTI raised security checks, activated trip mines, and purged life support to slow him down.
- How was ANTI shut down?
- Isaac reached ANTI's computer core, and after Tiedemann ordered the core locked down, Isaac rearranged its fuses to expose the core and destroyed it. ANTI's voice and image faded as it shut down, the lockdown lifted, and the station fell back to manual control.
