A complex in decline#
By 2514 the complex was in a state of disrepair. Tattered and run down, it stood in contrast to the pristine, maintained environments of Titan Heights and Cassini Towers on Titan Station. Graying and dingy, its walls were hung with posters and notes, many torn or peeling away, and graffiti scrawled across the walls and over the EarthGov posters made plain the residents' low opinion of their governing body. Dumpsters and bags and cans of garbage sat in the halls, filled to the brim, a sign of the indifference of tenants and landlords alike. The complex's main entrance and yard were gated, cutting them off from the outer yard and the general populace. A dark, dirty courtyard lay just outside the main entrance, holding an inactive fountain, a bench, and more posters and graffiti across its walls.
Isaac Clarke's residence#
After escaping Titan Station, Isaac Clarke and Ellie Langford went into hiding from EarthGov and the Unitologists and took up residence at Red Moon Apartments. By 2514 the two had separated, and Isaac's untidy apartment reflected both his decaying state of mind in the aftermath and the toll of his experiences with the Markers and the Necromorphs. The apartment was a simple, modest room with a bathroom near the living area, a bed for two, and a large window at the far end that looked out over the Lunar Marker Shroud. An audio log found inside revealed that Isaac was failing to pay his rent and would soon be evicted if he did not settle what he owed his landlord.
The siege#
When Robert Norton and John Carver located Clarke's apartment, the Unitologist group known as the Circle laid siege to the colony. Carver, Clarke, and Norton were ambushed just outside the apartment complex in their first encounter with the new enemy.
