Service in the Fleet#
Chrion was a passenger liner operated by Sagitarrian Spaceways and built to the Gemenon Liner 1701-type design, the same as its sister ship Pyxis. After the Fall of the Twelve Colonies it joined the civilian convoy protected by Galactica. The people of Chrion took part in the presidential election, with a stated population of 591.
The passage to the Algae planet#
During the Fleet's food crisis, the convoy was forced to navigate a hazardous route to reach the Algae planet. Chrion was successfully guided through this passage by Captain Louanne "Kat" Katraine, whose piloting brought the liner safely through.
Fate#
Chrion was last seen as one of the ships scuttled in the Sol system, roughly four years after the Fall of the Twelve Colonies.
Design#
Chrion measured roughly 257 meters in length, 44 meters in width, and 23 meters in height. It was driven by four sublight engines and a set of maneuvering thrusters, and like the other vessels of the Fleet it carried a faster-than-light drive that allowed it to jump alongside the convoy.
