Service history#

The Defender-class entered service during the First Cylon War and remained in the Colonial Fleet's order of battle for around fifty years, up to the Fall of the Twelve Colonies. At some point during that career a number of the ships were sold off to non-military entities.

After the Fall, two Defender-class vessels were present in the refugee fleet led by Galactica, the sole surviving military vessel. One of these was the Adriatic. A Defender-class ship also took part in the Ghost Fleet offensive.
