Role and divisions#

A Rear Admiral stood among the flag officers of the Colonial Fleet, ranking directly below a Vice Admiral. Each Rear Admiral was charged with one of the nine divisions that made up the Fleet's structure. These comprised the four numbered combat fleets, Fleet Helios Alpha, Fleet Helios Beta, Fleet Helios Gamma, and Fleet Helios Delta, together with the Colonial Fleet Replenishment Command, the Colonial Fleet Construction Command, the Colonial Fleet Intelligence Command, the Colonial Fleet Training Command, and the Colonial Fleet Combat Capabilities Research Command.
