The Recon Drone was among the Cylon ships that the Colonials had never seen before the attack on the Twelve Colonies. The only known encounter came in the prelude to the Battle of Ragnar Anchorage. Flying a reconnaissance mission to the edge of Ragnar's storms, Kara Thrace spotted at least two basestars, hundreds of Raiders and a handful of support ships, waiting outside for the Colonials to emerge.
