The Tauranian Traveller was a civilian ship in President Laura Roslin's refugee fleet. In a deleted scene set in the days after the Fall of the Twelve Colonies, its captain tries to abandon the fleet, only to be forced back into formation by Galactica's Vipers. It survived to take part in the election that led to New Caprica.
The Tauranian Traveller, also rendered Tauron Traveler, was a civilian ship that formed part of President Laura Roslin's refugee fleet in the aftermath of the Fall of the Twelve Colonies. Attempt to leave the fleet#
In a scene cut from "33", set in the days following the Fall of the Twelve Colonies as the fleet made jump after jump to escape the pursuing Cylons, the captain of the Tauranian Traveller, with over 900 people aboard, made plans to abandon the refugee fleet and set out on a journey of his own. On the urging of President Roslin, Galactica had its combat air patrol of Vipers make close passes to intimidate the captain into folding the ship back into formation. Later service#
Having remained with the fleet, the Tauranian Traveller went on to participate in the presidential election, the outcome of which led to the colonization of New Caprica; its name appears on the vote tally boards. (Battlestar Galactica, "Lay Down Your Burdens, Part 2")
