History#
The Unknown Ship was one of several civilian vessels that escaped the Fall of the Twelve Colonies together as a civilian fleet. That fleet was later encountered by the Battlestar Pegasus during its own flight from the destruction of the Colonies. Admiral Helena Cain treated the civilian ships as a source of spare parts and crew: she drafted the people she judged useful, had the families of those who resisted shot, and stripped the ships of anything Pegasus could use, FTL drives included. The Unknown Ship was left stranded in deep space with the rest. (Battlestar Galactica: Razor)
