Which Cylon Are You? Take the Battlestar Galactica Quiz

Ten questions about your cover story, your faith and your worst habits, and we'll match you to one of the eight humanoid Cylon models from the 2004 series, from Brother Cavil to the Sharons.

By Joe Garratt

The Cylons were created by man, and the humanoid models were made by the Final Five, one line at a time, each with its own personality copied across millions of bodies. Answer ten questions to find out which model you'd be, then read the guide to all the Cylon models for the full picture. (Battlestar Galactica miniseries; Battlestar Galactica)

The results explained#

Number One (Cavil)#

Number One was made in the image of Ellen Tigh's father and helped the Final Five build the models that followed. (Battlestar Galactica, season 4) Jealous of Ellen's fondness for Daniel, he killed the whole Seven line, then arranged the deaths of the Five and had them planted among the Colonies with their memories wiped. (Battlestar Galactica, season 4) The full story only comes out when Ellen confronts Cavil in "No Exit". (Battlestar Galactica, season 4)

Number Two (Leoben)#

The Twos believed deeply in the Cycle of Time and held that the Hybrids communicated with God. (Battlestar Galactica) Their fixation on Kara Thrace went as far as a Leoben keeping her prisoner during the occupation of New Caprica. (Battlestar Galactica, season 3) They sided against the Ones, Fours and Fives over the Raiders and were nearly wiped out in the Cylon Civil War. (Battlestar Galactica, season 4)

Number Three (D'Anna)#

A Three posed as Fleet News Service reporter D'Anna Biers, more interested in rumour than conventional reporting. (Battlestar Galactica, season 2) Another chased a vision of the Final Five at the Temple of Five, and for breaking that taboo the whole line was boxed. (Battlestar Galactica, season 3) Unboxed during the Civil War, she became the last of her model, and stayed behind on the dead Earth to die. (Battlestar Galactica, season 4)

Number Four (Simon)#

The Fours often took medical roles, and their shared memories left little individuality between copies. (Battlestar Galactica) At least two ran a Farm at the Delphi Convalescent Institute, where Kara Thrace was held captive. (Battlestar Galactica, season 2) In the Civil War, the Fours sided with the Ones and Fives. (Battlestar Galactica, season 4)

Number Five (Doral)#

A Five working in public relations aboard Galactica planted a transponder that let the Cylons track the ship to Ragnar, and was left behind there when he was exposed. (Battlestar Galactica miniseries) On New Caprica, the Fives did PR work for the Baltar administration, including recruiting for the New Caprica Police. (Battlestar Galactica, season 3) They backed boxing the Threes and lobotomising the Raiders, and the model is believed extinct after the war. (Battlestar Galactica, season 4)

Number Six#

Sixes who infiltrated the Colonies were noted for customising their looks and inventing their own names, among them Shelly Godfrey and Gina Inviere. (Battlestar Galactica, seasons 1 and 2) They genuinely believed the occupation of New Caprica would help the humans, and it left them disillusioned. (Battlestar Galactica, season 3) After the Civil War, they became protected citizens of the fleet and voted to settle the new world without technology. (Battlestar Galactica, season 4)

Number Seven (Daniel)#

Daniel was the only one of the seven models the Five designed that never reached the war against the Colonies. (Battlestar Galactica, season 4) The Ones poisoned the amniotic fluid used to mature the Seven bodies and corrupted the genetic code so no more could be made. (Battlestar Galactica, season 4) Ellen Tigh says they did it out of jealousy of her fondness for the line. (Battlestar Galactica, season 4)

Number Eight (Sharon)#

The Eights showed more concern and affection for others than most models, but they were also naive and quick to change loyalties. (Battlestar Galactica) Boomer only learned what she was when she met copies of herself aboard a basestar over Kobol. (Battlestar Galactica, season 1) When Eights on a rebel basestar asked Athena to lead a rebellion against the Sixes, she met them with disgust. (Battlestar Galactica, season 4)

Frequently asked questions

Which Cylons can I get?
The eight humanoid models: Number One (Cavil), Number Two (Leoben), Number Three (D'Anna), Number Four (Simon), Number Five (Doral), Number Six, Number Seven (Daniel) and Number Eight (Sharon). Each one comes up five times across the answers, so they're all equally likely.
Why aren't the Final Five in it?
The Final Five are individual people rather than models with millions of copies, and they made the other eight. This quiz sticks to the models. There's a separate character quiz that includes Saul Tigh.
Does it spoil the series?
The questions don't. The result descriptions mention the Cylon Civil War, the fate of several models and what happened to Daniel, so finish the show first if you care.
