Instead, they're almost entirely peaceful, with no natural enemies recorded anywhere in the known canon.

The Problem With Being Peaceful#

Having no natural enemies should be a winning evolutionary strategy. The catch is that a Razor Whale's defensive spines don't last forever. At some point in their life cycle, the spines fall off completely. When they do, the creature becomes significantly easier to tame, and far more vulnerable to every predator in the ocean.
