The solution comes through cooperation and lateral thinking: they seal the hallway completely, creating an airtight space. By removing all the air, they eliminate the medium through which sound travels. With silence restored, they strike the being and finally defeat it. It's one of the few encounters in the series where the victory comes not from martial skill but from understanding the physics of the entity's own nature.
