Ulaan was a moon once inhabited by the xel'naga. It held fragments of an ancient prophecy foretelling the end of the xel'naga cycle, and in 2504 it became the site of a clash between Dark Prelate Zeratul and Sarah Kerrigan, the Queen of Blades.

History#

A xel'naga prophecy preserved on Ulaan was divided into three fragments, each kept at a separate shrine. In 2504, Dark Prelate Zeratul and Kerrigan were drawn to Ulaan to uncover the prophecy, and the two clashed.

Kerrigan built hatcheries to subvert Ulaan and turn it to the Swarm. A Daelaam force under Praetor Karass tracked her there and helped Zeratul gather the prophecy fragments before she could secure them for herself.
