In the Original Series continuity, the Acropolis was a Colonial battlestar that fought through the Thousand-Yahren War against the Cylon Alliance. It was among the few battlestars left to attend the armistice talks over Cimtar and was destroyed when the conference proved a Cylon trap.

In the Original Series continuity, the Acropolis was a Colonial battlestar that fought in the Thousand-Yahren War against the Cylon Alliance. By the end of that long conflict it was one of the few battlestars left, and it was among those that came to the armistice talks over Cimtar, a gathering that proved a prelude to a devastating Cylon strike in which the Acropolis was destroyed.

The Thousand-Yahren War#

The Acropolis served the Colonies through the Thousand-Yahren War, the long struggle waged against the Cylon Alliance. The war ground on across generations, and by its closing days the Colonial Service had been worn down until only a handful of its battlestars survived. The Acropolis was one of those few that endured to the end of the fighting.

Destruction at Cimtar#

In the war's final days, hopes of peace drew the surviving battlestars to armistice talks held over Cimtar. The gathering was not what it appeared. The talks were a ruse, the prelude to a massive Cylon strike launched against the assembled Colonial forces. When the attack came, the Acropolis was caught among the battlestars at the conference and was destroyed.
