The Stone's Secrets#

The Makoki Stone held specific intelligence about the Brotherhood itself. Theft and Fragmentation#

During the Toa-Dark Hunter conflict, the stone's fate changed. VezokVezokThe Beast was a Piraka thief split in two by the Spear of Fusion, then imprisoned by the Order of Mata Nui. and HakannHakannThe Skakdi bully known for pure aggression, from Dark Hunter mercenary to Piraka thief driven by violence and power. managed to steal it from their own fortress, a feat that demonstrated how much the artifact mattered. But the stone's time in their hands was brief. The Shadowed OneThe Shadowed OneThe Shadowed One is the leader of the Dark Hunters, a black, yellow, and silver figure based on Spherus Magna. Armed with a staff and a Rhotuka, the Shadowed One directs the organization., the Dark Hunters' leader, had it stolen back. Rather than keeping it unified, he made a calculation about power and profit. He split the stone into six separate pieces and sold each fragment directly to the Brotherhood of MakutaMakuta (Species)Shadowy Antidermis beings and the Brotherhood's elite, Makuta commanded darkness and shaped the Matoran Universe's fate.. That decision transformed the Makoki Stone from a single source of consolidated power into six fragmented keys, scattering information that had once been accessible only to those bold enough to claim it whole.
