The Makoki Stones were a series of inscribed rock objects that functioned as keys through a magical bond, capable of opening sealed chambers warded against any other means of entry. Why did the Shadowed One split the Makoki Stone into six pieces?
Six months after the original theft, the Shadowed One had the stone split into six smaller pieces as a commercial decision. How did Lhikan recover the Makoki Stone fragments?
During the Toa-Dark Hunter War in Metru Nui, Hakann offered Lhikan a bargain: if Lhikan let the Dark Hunters leave the city unmolested after Nidhiki's trap failed, Hakann would return what remained of the Makoki Stone. When the Visorak invaded Metru Nui, the Toa Hordika gathered the six fragments hidden by the Rahaga, placed them onto a table designed to receive them, and the bond engaged to open the chamber and retrieve the mask.
