When Mata Nui arrived on Bara Magna, Metus found him in a Thornatus and offered him a ride to Vulcanus. During the journey he explained the life of the Agori and Glatorian and described the troubles caused by the Bone Hunters and the Skrall. Once at Vulcanus, Metus was present when Mata Nui declined his offer of employment as a Glatorian.

Tuma regarded Metus as a viper and kept him close only for as long as he proved useful. The Skrall leader intended that, once the war against the villages was won and the Agori subjugated, Metus would lose his usefulness, his freedom, and quite possibly his life.
