The Thousand-Yahren War#
The Triton served the Colonies through the Thousand-Yahren War, the centuries-long struggle against the Cylon Alliance. The conflict wore the Colonial Service down across generations, and by its final days only a handful of battlestars remained in service. The Triton was one of those few that survived to the end of the fighting.
Destruction at Cimtar#
In the war's closing days the Cylon Empire sued for an end to hostilities and arranged a peace conference over Cimtar. The Triton ventured out to the conference alongside the Atlantia, the Galactica, the Pacifica, and the Columbia, the battlestars going without support ships. The Atlantia carried President Adar and the entire Council of the Twelve, while Commander Adama remained in command of the Galactica.
The conference was a ruse. The talks were a prelude to a massive Cylon strike, and the gathered battlestars were swamped by the attacking Raider force. The Triton was destroyed in the assault that fell upon the Colonial fleet at Cimtar.
