Description and abilities#

The Hoi was a small turtle RahiRahiThe Rahi were the biomechanical wildlife of the Matoran Universe, built largely by the Brotherhood of Makuta, ranging from background fauna to engineered war beasts., found in colours such as orange and green, slow and awkward on land. It was nonetheless capable of flight, though how it flew was never explained. Like other Rahi, the species had been created by the MakutaMakuta (Species)Shadowy Antidermis beings and the Brotherhood's elite, Makuta commanded darkness and shaped the Matoran Universe's fate. from viruses and liquid protodermis. The species was slow and largely harmless, preferring wet places and especially swamps. When the LehvakLehvakAcid-wielding Bohrok that dissolve obstacles as easily as enemies. drove many Hoi into the coastal waters, where life was harder for them, Toa GaliGali, Toa of WaterThe Toa Nuva of Water and conscience of the Toa Mata, whose attunement to her element anchored the team across every campaign from Mata Nui to Karda Nui. and the Ga-MatoranGa-MatoranThe Water-element Matoran of Ga-Metru and Ga-Koro, a female Matoran type, who filled the schools of Metru Nui and crewed the boats of the Mata Nui coast. made an extra effort to help and protect them.
