Capabilities#

The Kadin's mechanics are tightly defined. The Great Kadin allowed its wearer to fly under their own power for long periods, while the Noble Kadin provided self-powered flight for a brief period only. Both versions permitted flight from a standing start, with no need for a runway, launch point, or external air current.

That last feature distinguished the Kadin from related masks. The MiruKanohi MiruThe Miru keeps you from falling but doesn't make you fly. Toa Lewa proved there's a difference., the Mask of Levitation, allowed its user to float and glide on air but provided no thrust. The Kadin was the powered option within the flight family. The two masks resembled each other in general concept and behaved differently in actual combat use.
