Orde is a blue and gold Toa of Psionics who wields a mace. He began as a Ce-Matoran, the element of Psionics, and holds a singular place in that group's history: after Orde, all Ce-Matoran were female. Like all of his element, a Ce-Matoran's mind was automatically shielded from mental intrusion by the minute amounts of elemental Psionics energy within them.
After Mata Nui restored the shattered world to a single Spherus Magna, Onua, Tahu, and Gali recruited Orde, along with the Toa Chiara and Zaria, for a mission: to locate the Great Beings and persuade them to return, honoring Mata Nui's wishes. Onua began to explain the details, but Orde read his mind and finished the statement for him. The habit drew quick friction with the team. When Orde annoyed Chiara, the Toa of Lightning retaliated by electrifying his seat, and the two began to argue until Zaria used his control of Iron to force them both to the ground.
Because Orde and Chiara were unable to navigate the terrain on their own, the former Ice Tribe Glatorian Gelu was assigned to guide them, and the group set out toward Bota Magna. Along the way they were captured by intelligent Vorox and taken into the forest, where they were released only to be hunted. The team chose a point to plan an ambush, with Orde and Gelu acting as bait while Chiara and Zaria waited to strike with their elemental powers.
The Vorox alpha male, Kabrua, possessed a device that could negate elemental power and knew how to deactivate Toa Power, so he was not fooled by the bait. Gelu and Orde ran to lure him away from the others. Arriving at a river, Orde tried to read Kabrua's mind, but Kabrua sensed his presence. Within Kabrua's thoughts, Orde discovered that a Great Being had been involved with the Vorox tribe.
