The Toa/Dark Hunter War was one of the largest conflicts in the history of Metru Nui, fought when the Shadowed One tried to seize the city for the Dark Hunters. It ended in a Toa victory and the banishment of the traitor Nidhiki.

Formerly a Ga-Matoran, she wielded the elemental power of Water and was distinguished by her blue coloring. escaped the city and carried a plea for aid to other lands. Nearly a hundred Toa answered the call and arrived to reinforce the defence, and with their arrival the battle settled into a prolonged stalemate. Much of the fighting took the form of urban combat, with both sides sneaking through the streets and districts of the metru.
