Evelyn Parker is the woman who hires V and Jackie to steal the Relic in Cyberpunk 2077, and one of the game's most tragic characters. Here's what she was really planning, who she was working for, and what happened to her after the heist.
Evelyn Parker is the client behind the Konpeki Plaza heist in Cyberpunk 2077, a doll from the Clouds dollhouse who hires Dexter DeShawn's crew, V and Jackie Welles among them, to steal the Relic from Yorinobu Arasaka. Who is Evelyn Parker?#
Evelyn is clever and ambitious. She came to Night City's entertainment business wanting to act and took a job at Clouds, a high-end dollhouse where workers run behavioural chips that turn them into whatever a client wants. It was meant to be a stepping stone. It wasn't. She met Judy there, and the two grew close. (Cyberpunk 2077)
Her database entry calls her a beautiful enigma: dressed like a high corpo, meeting at a gang bar, wealthy and worldly but hiring rookie mercs for the biggest job in the city. She trusts professionals and still wants to pull their strings. (Cyberpunk 2077)
What was Evelyn planning?#
By 2077 Evelyn was a regular visitor to Yorinobu's suite at Konpeki Plaza, and the Voodoo Boys paid her to get a braindance recording of it. When she realised they were after the Relic, an Arasaka biochip in Yorinobu's possession, she went into business for herself. She contacted the fixer Dexter DeShawn to put a crew together, and offered the chip to NetWatch in exchange for money, protection and a new identity. (Cyberpunk 2077)
V meets her at Lizzie's Bar in "The Information." She brings in Judy to help V study the braindance of the suite, and she watches V closely. She even sounds V out about cutting Dex out of the deal. In the same braindance, Adam Smasher walks in on her with Yorinobu, and the threat is clear. (Cyberpunk 2077)
What happened to Evelyn after the heist?#
The heist goes wrong: Yorinobu kills his father, Jackie dies, and Dex shoots V. Evelyn hides for a few days and then goes back to Clouds. While she's jacked in with a client, the Voodoo Boys hit her with a virus. She survives, but her cyberware is wrecked, and she's left awake and aware with no way to move or speak. (Cyberpunk 2077)
What follows is the darkest stretch of the main story. Woodman, who runs Clouds, abuses her, then hands her to a ripperdoc, Fingers, as payment. Fingers sells her to scavengers, who keep her alive because her doll and braindance implants let them record black-market braindances from her. V and Judy track her to an abandoned power plant in "Disasterpiece" and bring her out. (Cyberpunk 2077)
How does Evelyn die?#
Judy takes Evelyn back to her flat to look after her. Evelyn improves a little, but she can't get past what was done to her, and while Judy is out she takes her own life in the bath. It happens in every playthrough. Before Evelyn died, Judy had recovered recordings of the abuse and of Evelyn's meetings with the Voodoo Boys, which she shares with V in the side job "Both Sides, Now." Evelyn's ashes are placed at the North Oak Columbarium. (Cyberpunk 2077)

Evelyn's death drives Judy's story. Judy blames herself, blames the system that let it happen, and in her later side jobs tries to take Clouds back from the Tyger Claws who run it. The game leaves exactly what the two women were to each other unspoken, but it's clear Judy loved her. (Cyberpunk 2077)
