Dylar IV
Confederate core world
Dylar IV was a planet in the Koprulu sector that served as a Core World of the Terran Confederacy and the home of the Dylarian Shipyards. Once the site of an ancient protoss mining colony, it passed in turn to the Confederacy, the zerg, and the Terran Dominion.
Dylar IV was a planet in the Koprulu sector, an inhospitable desert world whose thin nitrogen and oxygen atmosphere was nonetheless capable of supporting life. It served for a time as a Core World of the Terran Confederacy and as the home of the Dylarian Shipyards.
Antiquity and the Confederate years#
In antiquity Dylar IV hosted a protoss mining colony, though the settlement was later abandoned and reduced to a set of ruins. Thousands of years afterward the planet became a Core World of the Terran Confederacy, serving as the home base of Omega Squadron and the Dylarian Shipyards. During the Guild Wars, Kel-Morian forces launched ambushes against the Confederate troops stationed there.
War and abandonment#
Dylar IV was infested by the zerg early in the Great War. The planet was later inherited by the Terran Dominion, and during the Brood War the shipyards were attacked by the United Earth Directorate Expeditionary Fleet, with the remnants of the world's defenders conscripted into the invaders' service. The world was eventually abandoned, and after the Brood War its ruins were investigated and then handed over to the protoss. By the time of the Second Great War, Dominion fleet recruits were once again being summoned to the Dylarian Shipyards.
