Defilak
Defilak is a dark green and silver Le-Matoran who serves as leader of the Mahri Nui Council and as an inventor. He wears a powerless Kualsi and wields Electro-Blades alongside an Air Launcher. As a Le-Matoran, he carries an inactive affinity for the element of Air and resides on Spherus Magna.

They're basically Bionicle's daredevils. who led the Council of the underwater village of Mahri NuiMahri NuiA matoran settlement that sank, survived, and was ultimately crushed beneath Voya Nui, leaving behind one of Bionicle's most poignant lost civilizations.. When the Onu-Matoran Reysa was mysteriously killed near the village's Fields of Air, Defilak ordered a search of the Black Water to discover what lay beyond the village, setting the events around the Kanohi Ignika in motion.
Defilak descended into the Black Water aboard his submarine, accompanied by his friend Sarda, Gar and Idris. The patrol was attacked from all sides by an organized school of Takea sharks led by PridakPridakPridak was the most feared of the six Barraki, commander of a shark army and the dominant voice of the League of Six Kingdoms before its imprisonment in the Pit., and the submarine was destroyed. Pridak interrogated the survivors and revealed to Defilak the truth of the BarrakiThe BarrakiSix warlords who built an empire spanning most of the Matoran Universe, fell in a single Brotherhood ambush, and spent millennia mutated in the Pit. and their former empire, the League of Six Kingdoms.
During the battle for the city, Defilak fought to protect Mahri Nui's existence. With Gar and Idris he destroyed the lightstones around the village so that a Venom Eel enlarged by the Ignika could not see the settlement and bear down on it.
When the Toa MahriToa Mahri: The Toa Who Saved the UniverseThe Toa Mahri were the water breathing form of the sixth Toa team, transformed by the Mask of Life on the way down to the drowned city of Mahri Nui. They fought the Barraki for the mask and recovered it at the cost of one of their own. arrived, the Matoran of Mahri Nui mistook them for escaped prisoners of the Pit and attacked. Defilak stopped the fight and allowed Matoro to enter the city, then challenged the Toa to prove themselves by freeing the Air Fields from Carapar's Keras crabs. He later observed the Toa being taken prisoner by the Barraki and came to believe the two were allies.
In the village's final days the Toa Mahri explained to Defilak that the Matoran would have to travel up the Cord into Voya Nui's Nui Caves to survive, for Voya Nui would crush Mahri Nui when the Cord was severed. Defilak carried Electro-Blades and an Air Launcher, the latter a tool the Mahri Nui Matoran used in the deep water. He wore a powerless KualsiKualsiThe Kanohi Kualsi allowed its wearer to teleport instantly to any location within their field of vision, with Toa Hagah Iruini its most prominent canonical bearer. and lived on through to Spherus MagnaSpherus MagnaA desert world of ancient conflict that became the merger point of the Matoran Universe and Bionicle's true endpoint..
