Jerbraz is a member of the Order of Mata NuiThe Order of Mata NuiThe covert organization founded by Helryx to serve the Great Spirit directly, operating in concealment from a fortress on Daxia and waging the open war against the Brotherhood of Makuta that decided the fate of the universe., the secret organization that worked through the ages to carry out the will of the Great Spirit. His early history is unknown, but at some point in his life he joined the Order. When he was experimented upon by the Order, he was rendered permanently invisible by accident, a state that defined him thereafter. He was remembered among his fellow members as a "handsome and dashing" figure.
Jerbraz contributed to the work of the Order's leader, HelryxHelryxHelryx was the first Toa created by the Great Beings, founder of the Order of Mata Nui, and commander of its covert war against the Brotherhood of Makuta.. When Helryx compiled a comprehensive atlas for the Order, she drew on carvings and information gathered by three members: Jerbraz, Tobduk, and Johmak.
His invisibility made him an effective operative in the field. When the Order set out to recruit a De-Matoran named Krakua, Jerbraz appeared to the Order's servant MazekaMazekaA Ko-Matoran spy for the Order of Mata Nui obsessed with becoming the perfect warrior. while the latter sat in his hut, asking for his help in finding Krakua. The two traveled to the De-Matoran village, where a Ta-Matoran wielding a sonic weapon felled the villagers. Jerbraz saved Krakua during the attack, and while Mazeka battled the assassin Vultraz, Jerbraz quietly delivered Krakua into Order custody so he could be trained.
Jerbraz also offered insight into the nature of the Toa. He observed that the Matoran destined to become Toa often have something off or special about them, as if they are subconsciously aware of their own potential for greatness, quirks that have been noticed in many who later rose to that calling.
