Tobduk is a gunmetal grey and dark red member of the Order of Mata Nui who served as an assassin for that organization. He wore the Kanohi Sanok and carried a staff and daggers as his weapons. Following the reformation of the Great Spirit Robot, Tobduk resided on Spherus Magna.

Working alongside fellow Order members Jerbraz and Johmak, Tobduk contributed carvings and gathered information that Order leader HelryxHelryxHelryx was the first Toa created by the Great Beings, founder of the Order of Mata Nui, and commander of its covert war against the Brotherhood of Makuta. used to write a comprehensive atlas for the organization.
When the elite spy Mazeka came to Helryx's chamber on Daxia seeking the location of Karda NuiKarda NuiThe vast inner cavern at the core of the Matoran Universe, original home of the Av-Matoran, site of the Codrex and the final battle that decided the fate of Mata Nui., the Universe Core, he found Tobduk there instead. The two struck a deal: if Mazeka could prove himself as a killer, Tobduk would give him the location he sought. Mazeka was set the task of slaying Vezon, though he instead helped the Skakdi escape.
Tobduk's most significant act came against the Brotherhood of Makuta. Makuta Tridax of Nynrah had used the Kanohi Olmak to travel to dozens of alternate timelines, abducting their Takanuva counterparts and imprisoning them on DestralDestralThe headquarters island of the Brotherhood of Makuta, whose installed teleportation technology made the entire landmass mobile and turned it into the most strategically protected location in the Matoran Universe.. During a battle on Destral, Tobduk slew Tridax, then left the Olmak behind on the island. He was identified to a Makuta as the most dangerous enemy of that being's kind.
