Vamprah wasn't your typical megalomaniacal MakutaMakuta (Species)Shadowy Antidermis beings and the Brotherhood's elite, Makuta commanded darkness and shaped the Matoran Universe's fate.. He didn't strategize aloud or boast about conquest. He simply hunted, and hunted well, moving through the swamps of OdinaOdinaOdina is a member of both the Dark Hunters and the Cliff Screechers, operating within the Matoran Universe. Formerly in possession of the powers of Vamprah, Odina retains no elemental abilities in the present day. as a shadow among shadows. The Silent Hunter#

Vamprah's defining trait was his refusal to speak. While other MakutaMakuta (Species)Shadowy Antidermis beings and the Brotherhood's elite, Makuta commanded darkness and shaped the Matoran Universe's fate. monologued and scheemed aloud, he communicated through action and presence alone. When his allies fell victim to blindness during the Karda NuiKarda NuiThe vast inner cavern at the core of the Matoran Universe, original home of the Av-Matoran, site of the Codrex and the final battle that decided the fate of Mata Nui. campaign, Vamprah barely reacted. Unlike the others, he showed no distress at the accident. If anything, it merely made his hunts a bit more of a challenge. His silence was his edge. He stalked Av-MatoranAv-MatoranThe Light-element Matoran, prototypes of their species, who colonised Karda Nui from the Southern Continent and built the Stalactite Villages above the Swamp of Secrets. across the swamp unnoticed and preferred his prey unaware.
The Swamp of Secrets#
When TahuTahu, Toa of FireTahu served as Toa Mata, Toa Nuva, and Toa Mistika of Fire, leading his team from the first landing on Mata Nui to the destruction of the Rahkshi army on Bara Magna. encountered Vamprah during the final invasion, the matchup looked grim. Vamprah's wings gave him aerial advantage, and his shadow powers were formidable. But TahuTahu, Toa of FireTahu served as Toa Mata, Toa Nuva, and Toa Mistika of Fire, leading his team from the first landing on Mata Nui to the destruction of the Rahkshi army on Bara Magna. understood the swamp in ways the MakutaMakuta (Species)Shadowy Antidermis beings and the Brotherhood's elite, Makuta commanded darkness and shaped the Matoran Universe's fate. did not. He gathered rotting vegetation from the floor and, as the MakutaMakuta (Species)Shadowy Antidermis beings and the Brotherhood's elite, Makuta commanded darkness and shaped the Matoran Universe's fate. dove toward him, ignited it with a concentrated fireball. The explosion of accumulated swamp gas sent Vamprah reeling.

GavlaGavlaAn Av-Matoran of Karda Nui transformed into a Shadow Matoran, Gavla led Vamprah's corrupted villagers and resisted restoration. from Vamprah's back, leaving him sightless and disoriented.
