Rebecca (Cyberpunk: Edgerunners)
Rebecca is the small, loud, trigger-happy solo of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and one of its most loved characters. Here's who she is, her bond with Pilar and David, how she dies, and where to find her shotgun in Cyberpunk 2077.
Rebecca is the short, foul-mouthed solo in Maine's crew in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Pilar's younger sister and the best shot on the team. She's chaotic in a fight and loyal to the end. She has a crush on David Martinez she never acts on, sticks with him after everyone else is gone, and is killed by Adam Smasher in the last episode. (Cyberpunk: Edgerunners)
Who is Rebecca?#
Rebecca is small, pale and covered in pink tattoos, and goes into fights laughing. She has some cyberware, mostly bright cyberoptics, but relies on raw skill with a gun. In the first half of the series she's usually beside her brother Pilar, the crew's tech, and the two of them bicker constantly. She jokes she'll be the one to kill him one day. (Cyberpunk: Edgerunners)
The Edgerunners Mission Kit adds a family history for the siblings, built around their father, a merc who vanished and left them with nothing, and the fixer Wakako Okada, who gave them work. (Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Mission Kit)
Rebecca in Maine's crew#
Rebecca meets David on his first job, distracting the target by spilling a drink on him. She takes a shine to David straight away and flirts at the after-party. Later she shows him how to shoot, putting every round exactly where she wants with a gun in each hand. She's also a fan of the city's legends, and at the Afterlife she spots Rogue and points her out to the others. (Cyberpunk: Edgerunners)
What happened to Pilar?#
In "Lucky You," Pilar mocks a cyberpsycho the crew runs into on a night out, and it kills him. Rebecca charges straight at it and is nearly killed herself until Maine drags her into cover. After David brings it down she keeps shooting the body. (Cyberpunk: Edgerunners)
After the time skip she's wearing big cyberarms like her brother's, the crew's second fighter behind David. She's grown into the job but hasn't lost the noise. (Cyberpunk: Edgerunners)
Rebecca and David#
Rebecca tells Kiwi she isn't good at playing just friends, and jokes about whether she should look and act more like Lucy. She never crosses the line. When David freezes on a job she covers him, then tells him she's watching him and knows something's wrong. (Cyberpunk: Edgerunners)
On the Arasaka convoy job in "Humanity," David asks her to keep him sane by injecting his suppressants. She agrees on condition he stays off the Sandevistan. He doesn't, and she keeps dosing him anyway. When Faraday and Kiwi's betrayal comes out, she and Falco follow David to Arasaka Tower without arguing. (Cyberpunk: Edgerunners)
How does Rebecca die?#
In "My Moon My Man," Rebecca and Falco are pinned down by Arasaka and police in the plaza at the foot of the tower when David lands with Lucy. Rebecca tells Lucy she's glad she's safe, for David's sake. Then she sees Smasher falling towards them and fires up at him, swearing at him for interrupting, before he crushes her as he lands. (Cyberpunk: Edgerunners)
Rebecca in Cyberpunk 2077#
Rebecca's niche is at the North Oak Columbarium in Cyberpunk 2077, with an epitaph from Lucy saying she regrets not finishing their conversation. Her custom shotgun, Guts, is still lying in Memorial Park where she fell, and V can pick it up. (Cyberpunk 2077)
