Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Characters: the Whole Crew and Who Survives
Every major character in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, from David and Lucy to Maine's crew, the fixer Faraday and Adam Smasher. Who they are, who voices them, how each one's story ends, and which of them are still alive when the credits roll.

Almost none of them make it to the end. This page covers each one, their voice actors, and how their story finishes, so it has full spoilers. For the plot episode by episode, see the Edgerunners episode guide. (Cyberpunk: Edgerunners)

The leads#
David Martinez#
David is a teenager from Night City at Arasaka Academy, paid for by his mother's overtime, and he never fits in. After Gloria dies he has a military Sandevistan installed, discovers he can take far more chrome than anyone should, and joins Maine's crew. After Maine's death he takes over, piles on implants, Maine's arms among them, and keeps going on suppressants after Doc, his ripperdoc, warns him to stop. Faraday traps him into wearing an Arasaka cyberskeleton, and he dies holding off Smasher outside Arasaka Tower so Lucy can get away. He's voiced by Zach Aguilar in English and Kenn in Japanese. Full story: David Martinez. (Cyberpunk: Edgerunners; My Moon My Man)
Lucy#
Lucy is the crew's netrunner, a quiet data thief who meets David on the metro and sells him out to Maine before falling for him. Arasaka raised her as a child netrunner, and she was the only one of her group to escape. She wants to go to the Moon. In secret she wipes David's name from Arasaka's cyberskeleton research and kills the agents who come looking, until Kiwi and Faraday catch her. She survives, and the series ends with her on the Moon alone. Voiced by Emi Lo in English and Aoi Yuki in Japanese. Full story: Lucy. (Cyberpunk: Edgerunners)
Maine's crew#
Maine#
Maine leads the crew, a heavily chromed solo who knew Gloria and had already paid her for the Sandevistan. He gives David a chance instead of taking it back, and David comes to see him as the man he wants to be. His own chrome catches up with him: blackouts, hallucinations, outbursts. On the Tanaka job he goes fully cyberpsycho, kills Dorio by accident, tells David to run and blows himself up. David carries off his arms and later has them fitted. Voiced by William C. Stephens in English and Hiroki Tochi in Japanese. (Cyberpunk: Edgerunners; Girl on Fire)
Dorio#
Dorio is Maine's girlfriend and second in command, a fighter who gives David his combat training. She and Lucy rescue him when the braindance director JK captures him. On the Tanaka job she goes back with Maine for the body, and Maine, lost to cyberpsychosis, kills her. Voiced by Marie Westbrook in English and Michiko Kaiden in Japanese. (Cyberpunk: Edgerunners; Girl on Fire)
Kiwi#
Kiwi is the crew's veteran netrunner, cool and hard to read, and Lucy's mentor. Maine hurts her during his breakdown in episode 6, which is why Lucy has to make the dive into Tanaka's head. In episode 8 she turns on the crew, joins Faraday and springs the trap that catches Lucy. In the finale Faraday has her killed to tie off a loose end, but she gets Lucy's location to David before she dies. Voiced by Stephanie Wong in English and Takako Honda in Japanese. (Cyberpunk: Edgerunners; Stay; My Moon My Man)
Pilar#
Pilar is the crew's techie, loud and crude, and Rebecca's older brother. He gives David errands to run while he learns the ropes. Leaving a bar one night, he starts mocking a homeless man in the street, who turns out to be a cyberpsycho with an arm cannon, and is shot dead. He's the first of the crew to die. Voiced by Ian James Corlett in English and Wataru Takagi in Japanese. (Lucky You)
Rebecca#
Rebecca is Pilar's younger sister, small, loud and the best shot on the crew. After Pilar's death she takes on oversized cyberarms like his. She has a soft spot for David she never acts on, injects his suppressants for him when he's falling apart, and follows him to Arasaka Tower without arguing. Smasher kills her when he drops into the plaza. Voiced by Alex Cazares in English and Tomoyo Kurosawa in Japanese. Full story: Rebecca. (Cyberpunk: Edgerunners; Humanity; My Moon My Man)
Falco#
Falco is a nomad and the getaway driver the crew uses. He sticks with David to the end, and in the finale David asks him to get Lucy to safety and split the crew's money with her, which he does. In Cyberpunk 2077 he's the one who gets in touch with V in the side job "Over the Edge," saying V reminds him of David, and leaves David's jacket for V. Voiced by Matthew Mercer in English and Yasuyuki Kase in Japanese. (My Moon My Man; Cyberpunk 2077)
Family, fixers and enemies#
Gloria Martinez#
Gloria is David's mother, a paramedic who works herself to exhaustion to keep him at Arasaka Academy, because she wants him to make a career at Arasaka. To make the money she has been taking cyberware from bodies and selling it on the black market, which is where the Sandevistan came from. She's caught in a gang drive-by in episode 1, Trauma Team refuses to treat her because she can't pay, and she dies in hospital. David wears her yellow paramedic jacket for the rest of the series. Voiced by Gloria Garayua in English and Yurika Hino in Japanese. (Let You Down; Cyberpunk: Edgerunners)
Faraday#
Faraday is the fixer who brings Maine's crew their jobs, a smooth operator with Militech connections who wants a seat at a corporate table. When Arasaka marks him for death and Militech drops him, he changes sides and offers Arasaka the netrunner who has been wiping its data. That's Lucy. He uses her to force David into the cyberskeleton as a field test, then has Kiwi killed in the finale. He dies when Smasher's attack blasts him out of Arasaka Tower. Giancarlo Esposito voices him in English and Kazuhiko Inoue in Japanese. (Stay; Humanity; My Moon My Man)
Adam Smasher#
Adam Smasher is Arasaka's full-body cyborg enforcer and head of security, called in to deal with David in the finale. Nothing the crew has works on him. He kills Rebecca, brushes off Lucy's hacks, keeps up with David's Sandevistan, tears the cyberskeleton apart and shoots David in the head. He's still working for Arasaka a year later in Cyberpunk 2077. Alec Newman voices him in English, the same actor as in the game, and Yukihiro Misono in Japanese. Full history: Adam Smasher. (My Moon My Man; Cyberpunk 2077)
Where the characters turn up next#
In Cyberpunk 2077 the crew is remembered rather than seen. The North Oak columbarium has niches for David, Rebecca and the others, with epitaphs written by Lucy, and V can find Rebecca's shotgun, Guts, in Memorial Park. Falco is the only one of them V hears from. For the game's own cast, see Cyberpunk characters. (Cyberpunk 2077)
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, out on Netflix on 20 October 2026, is a standalone story with a fresh cast, and none of the first series' characters have been announced for it. (Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 premiere date announced alongside new trailer)
