The Lady of the Forge was a mermaid who had made her home within the waters of Svartalfheim. Her origins were unknown. She was a mysterious and powerful being who kept to the depths of her underwater forge, and she was renowned for the quality of the things she made, enough to impress even the dwarves native to those lands, who were themselves the finest smiths in all the Nine Realms.
