Frequently asked questions
- Who was Aft?
- Aft was a Ta-Matoran native to Ta-Metru who served as a Lava Farmer in Ta-Koro during the Mata Nui era. He lived through the seal of the Matoran Sphere, the Bohrok War, the Rahkshi destruction of Ta-Koro, and the migration to the reformed Spherus Magna.
- What is a Lava Farmer, and what did Aft do as one?
- Lava Farming was a Ta-Matoran profession centred on the cultivation, channelling, and management of the lava flows surrounding Ta-Koro. The trade required the natural Ta-Matoran resistance to heat and fire, which Aft possessed as the residual manifestation of his inaccessible elemental Fire powers.
- How did Aft lose his memory of Metru Nui?
- Aft was summoned to the Coliseum by a disguised Teridax and sealed in a Matoran Sphere. The sphere gradually erased his Metru Nui memories and reduced him physically, leaving him shorter and weaker, and he was rescued by the Toa Metru in the evacuation of the city.
- How was Aft rebuilt at Kini-Nui?
- After the defeat of the Bohrok-Kal, Aft was summoned to Kini-Nui with the rest of the Matoran population and rebuilt by the Turaga into a stronger, larger, and more agile form. The mass rebuilding was the Turaga council's response to the changed conditions facing the island leading into the Rahkshi attacks.
- What happened to Aft at the end of the story?
- After the Battle of Bara Magna and the death of Teridax, Aft evacuated the damaged Great Spirit Robot and migrated to the surface of the reformed Spherus Magna. He settled with his fellow Ta-Matoran and the wider Fire Tribe in the Great Volcano, where his status is given as alive.
