Frequently asked questions

What was the Battle of Bara Magna?
The Battle of Bara Magna was the closing engagement of the Matoran Universe and the final action of Teridax's Reign of Shadows. It was fought across the deserts around Roxtus and the Black Spike Mountains, and in the upper atmosphere above them, between the Great Spirit Robot carrying Teridax and the smaller Prototype Robot controlled by the consciousness of Mata Nui.
Who fought in the Battle of Bara Magna?
On Teridax's side stood a swarm of Rahkshi and a legion of Skakdi under the warlord Nektann, deployed from inside the Great Spirit Robot. The defenders were the united Glatorian and Agori confederation under Ackar, joined by Kiina, Gresh, and Berix, the Toa Nuva Tahu, and the Toa of Light Takanuva, while Mata Nui piloted the Prototype Robot above the field.
How did the Golden Armor end the Rahkshi army?
The Kanohi Ignika forged a six-piece Golden Armor for Tahu, which Teridax scattered across the desert before it could be assembled. After Tahu, Takanuva, and Gresh recovered the pieces and Tahu fitted all six, the armor absorbed the Antidermis and powers of every Kraata within range, killing the surrounding Rahkshi population in a single golden discharge.
How did Teridax die?
Teridax had prepared a massive gravitational attack aimed at Bara Magna's surface, but Mata Nui redirected it onto the orbiting moons Aqua Magna and Bota Magna, pulling them down toward the planet. Mata Nui then maneuvered the Prototype Robot to push the Great Spirit Robot into the path of a fragment from Aqua Magna, which struck the back of its head, breached the core processor, and killed Teridax instantly.
What happened to Spherus Magna after the battle?
Aqua Magna and Bota Magna struck Bara Magna's surface and fused into it, rejoining the three fragments and reforming Spherus Magna as a single planet for the first time in a hundred thousand years. Mata Nui used the last of the Prototype Robot's Power Source and his own life-energy through the Ignika to make the plain bloom with vegetation, then the body crumbled to dust and his consciousness returned to the Kanohi Ignika.
