Kojol was given charge of the island of ArtakhaArtakhaArtakha is the master craftsman of the Matoran Universe, ruler of a hidden island where the Toa Mata came into being and the Avohkii was forged., and he kept its location secret from everyone, even using his air and sea Rahi to keep all intruders away, other Makuta included. The plan relied heavily on Kojol's cooperation, and his secrecy made BitilBitilA Makuta obsessed with enslaving Toa, Bitil weaponized his Mohtrek's copying power in the final invasion of Karda Nui. and Mutran nervous. Viruses and Xia#

Kojol's later work centred on viruses. He travelled to XiaXiaA hostile island southeast of Metru Nui, home to the Vortixx and their brutal mercenary culture. to have an armour-eating virus built into a weapon, and while there he hid several viruses beneath the island for safekeeping. Thousands of years later, The Shadowed OneThe Shadowed OneThe Shadowed One is the leader of the Dark Hunters, a black, yellow, and silver figure based on Spherus Magna. Death on Xia#

It was on XiaXiaA hostile island southeast of Metru Nui, home to the Vortixx and their brutal mercenary culture. that the Order caught up with him. The Order agent Tobduk arranged for Kojol's own virus to escape, and it devoured his armour. Kojol's antidermis was then destroyed in the blazing flames of a Xian foundry. Aftermath and the Evolution of the Makuta#

Kojol also played a part in the Makuta's understanding of their own evolution. When the Makuta first evolved beyond solid bodies, ChiroxChiroxA Makuta of the Brotherhood who questioned Teridax's plans before being sent to Karda Nui. took a small portion of Kojol's antidermisAntidermisAntidermis was the physical substance that composed every Makuta, a revelation that fundamentally altered how fans understood the brotherhood's origin. and armour for study, to work out what had happened to them. In the Dark Mirror alternate universe of the Toa Empire, Kojol was one of three Makuta living in the Archives with Teridax and Krika. He fought in a battle at the Coliseum against a resistance led by Pohatu, where a Toa of Iron crushed his armour and a Toa of Plasma burned away his essence. (Dark Mirror)

Kojol was a Makuta whose private, unsociable nature mattered far more than it should have. His secrecy made him the natural leader of the raid on Artakha and the key to Teridax's plans, and that same knowledge marked him for death once Artakha asked the Order to clean up after the raid.
