Tevos was the asari representative on the Citadel Council during the era of Commander Shepard, a diplomat and compromiser who nonetheless placed the welfare of asari space above the interests of her allies.

Tevos was an asari and the asari representative on the Citadel Council, the governing body that ruled over Citadel space from the Citadel itself. She held the seat in 2183, during the campaign against Saren Arterius, and served alongside the salarian and turian Councilors who together formed the highest political authority in the galaxy. A diplomat by temperament, she was nonetheless willing to act decisively where the interests of the asari were concerned.

Asari Councilor#

Tevos sat as the asari member of the Citadel Council in 2183, one of three Councilors who together governed Citadel space. She was characterized as a diplomat and a compromiser, inclined to seek accommodation among the Council races, yet she did not hesitate to put the welfare of asari space above that of her race's allies when she judged it necessary.

Whether Tevos continued to hold her seat through 2186 depended on the outcome of the Battle of the Citadel and, in particular, on the fate of the asari dreadnought Destiny Ascension. If the ship survived, she remained the asari Councilor; if it was lost, she was succeeded by Irissa, an asari described as colder than her predecessor and inclined to squeeze once she had her hand on an adversary's throat.

Reputation and controversy#

As asari Councilor, Tevos was a figure of some controversy in the political life of Citadel space. A C-Sec officer who had been personally responsible for her safety later authored a contentious account alleging that the Council had known of the geth moving beyond the Perseus Veil long before their attack on Eden Prime, placing her tenure at the center of debate over how the Council had handled the early signs of the geth threat.
