Forseti
the Aesir god of justice
Forseti was the Norse god of justice and reconciliation, son of Baldur and a member of the Aesir royal family. Paranoid and watchful, he uncovered the truth of Heimdall's death and set the Valkyries after Atreus.
Forseti, also called Forseti Baldurson, was the Norse god of justice, law, and reconciliation, and a member of the Aesir royal family. The son of Baldur and grandson of Odin, he dwelt among his fellow Aesir in Asgard and played a quiet but consequential part in the events surrounding Atreus.
Son of the Aesir#
Forseti was born in Asgard to Baldur and Nanna, and grew up in the great hall of Gladsheim. As the grandson of Odin, nephew of Thor, Tyr, and Heimdall, and cousin to Magni, Modi, and Thrud, he stood among the Aesir royal family. He was named the god of justice, law, and reconciliation, though little was ever seen of those powers, and by nature he was a paranoid and watchful figure. During Atreus' first visit to Asgard he kept to his room and his work, and was overheard to have convinced himself that someone intended to poison Thor, investigating the kitchens in search of proof.
The death of Heimdall#
When Heimdall was slain by Kratos, it was Forseti who discovered his uncle's body and gathered the evidence of how he had died. He brought his discovery to Sif, who was outraged by it. Sif then traveled with the Valkyries Hrist and Mist to Niflheim to arrest Atreus for his father's part in Heimdall's death. Forseti himself is believed to have survived the destruction of Asgard during Ragnarok, as several of the Aesir endured, and to have settled afterward in Vanaheim among the other survivors.
